Step four is to be baptized!

This is the big day when you declare your faith in Christ. The information below will prepare you for this special event.

What to Bring

- A bathing suit
- A towel
- A heart ready to follow Christ!
- Someone to take pictures
- Friends and family - It's a special celebration so invite family and friends to witness this event.

What to Expect

- Plan to arrive early so you can get situated

- Prior to the event those being baptized will gather together with the leader for prayer and last minute instructions.

- Members being baptized will be invited in the water one at a time.

- Once in the water, the leader will ask you two questions

"Do you believe Jesus is the Son of God?" and you'll answer "yes".

"Do you accept as your Lord and Savior?" Again, you'll answer "yes".

- After your profession of faith, the leader will perform the actual baptism.

Note: If you have any questions, don't worry, your leader will go over the above information during the pre-baptism gathering.

Sharing Your Story

At the baptism event, members are often asked to briefly share why they are being baptized. This will usually be during an informal one n one with the leader, or with the person doing the video camera. These stories are often included in the baptism video.
